1. Lawful use only

You may use rented equipment and the Starlink service only for lawful activity under the federal laws of Canada and the laws of the province or territory where the equipment is operated.

2. Prohibited activities

The following uses are strictly forbidden:

  • Producing, accessing, storing, or distributing child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content sexually exploiting minors
  • Coordinating the sale, trafficking, or distribution of controlled substances, weapons, or counterfeit goods
  • Unauthorized access to computer systems, denial-of-service attacks, distribution of malware, or any conduct prohibited by the Criminal Code of Canada, sections 342.1 and 430
  • Fraud, phishing, identity theft, money laundering, or other financial crimes
  • Harassment, criminal threats, hate propaganda, or incitement to violence against any person or identifiable group
  • Large-scale copyright infringement or piracy distribution
  • Evading lawful surveillance, court orders, or sanctions imposed by a Canadian authority
  • Re-renting, sub-leasing, or commercially redistributing the equipment or its service without our written consent

3. Our right to terminate

If we have a good-faith basis to believe the equipment is being used for any prohibited activity, we may, without notice and without refund:

  • Suspend or remotely deactivate the Starlink service line
  • Recall the equipment immediately
  • Forfeit the security deposit toward recovery costs
  • Charge the card on file for any unrecovered equipment

4. Cooperation with law enforcement

We fully cooperate with lawful investigations conducted by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC), the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC), and any other competent Canadian authority.

In response to a lawful production order, search warrant, or court order we will disclose customer identity, booking records, payment metadata, contact information, equipment serial numbers, and any delivery or return logs that we hold. We do not retain content of customer internet traffic.

Where legally permitted, we will notify the affected customer that a disclosure has been made. Where a non-disclosure order is in force, we will comply with the order.

5. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Canadian Starlink Rentals, its owners, employees, and agents from any claim, loss, fine, legal cost, or damage arising from your use of the equipment in violation of this policy or applicable law.

6. Reporting abuse

To report suspected misuse of our equipment, email starlinkrentalnl@gmail.com with the subject line “AUP Report”. Reports relating to CSAM should also be submitted to Cybertip.ca, Canada’s national tipline.
